Although I’ve never worked a day in my entire life and I’m only in ninth grade. I still looked for three possible career choices that would suit me and that I would like to pursue in the future: Registered Nurse (RN), Recreational Trainer (RT), and a Physical Therapist (PT).

After researching each career on salary, level of education, aptitude, future prospect, and work schedule, I would choose Physical therapist because I would want to help someone that has been broken and I would want to fix them and help them.

The chart below compares facts from the three careers which I considered in the process of making my career choice:

Registered Nurse       Recreational Trainer      Physical Therapist

Future Prospect have more practice in nurse school job prospect will be great special with elder’s job prospect grows tremendously Specialized knowledge of specific treatments will have excellent job prospect
Advancement in Field Head nurse or assistant head nurse No advancement in this field.n Supervisors or Directors, can also open their own private practice or join one

By examining the chart I can see the income of a RN has an average wage of $65,720, I can have an even bigger income if i get a promotion to Head Nurse or Assistant Head Nurse. The credential and training is important for this job, you will need a bachelor’s degree in nursing, as well as a nursing’s licences, plus two years of your basics and two years of nursing school. This equals to about four years, of training to actually  start becoming eligible of becoming a RN. Since people keep getting  sick and hurt the medical field will always be a definite need. The next ten years will surely prosper and grow and have approximately 2,711,000 million in the job Registered Nurse. This job also provides versatility in schools, hospitals, clinics, and more as well as stability. All in all this job gives good income, versatility and stability  making it a good job option.

Another job which provides lucrative pay is Recreational Trainer. Their median wage (in 2012) is is the lowest of the three jobs: $42,280. As I said before when talking about income with a RN, your income may increase if you get a higher promotion or if you have your own private practice. The credential for this job is bachelor’s degree plus certification of Recreation Trainer. It would also put me in a higher standpoint

if I earn certification in genetic therapy and specialize with elder’s. Just like RN’s people are never going to get younger but older therefore older people are going to get more fragile and

will be more likely to hurt themselves. That’s why recreational trainer’s will be needed in the

future. As well as RN’s this job provides versatility in which I could work in such locations as: schools, offices, hospitals, nursing places. In this job I will not only have to worry about stability  or versatility.

Even though both these jobs give a good stability and versatility factors I think I would lean more towards the career choice of a Physical Therapist (PH), mostly because I have been able to see first hand how they can help me, by helping me when I fractured my vertebrae.

For background on how I experienced how physical Therapists help people, lets go back to 2011 when I was playing soccer and fractured. I was playing goalie and all of the sudden this horrid pain started happening in my lower back. I had walked off the field and fell to the ground. I couldn’t walk, the pain was unbearable. The next day I went to get an X-ray, it had shown the tiny crack in vertebrae that had started all the pain. The physical therapist soon told me to keep my back straight. They knew exactly what to do. They helped me walk and get through the pain. It was amazing and it inspired me, and made me realize I wanted to be a physical therapist.

Physical Therapist have a median wage of $66,200. This is a very good income and ensures stability. I will need a Bachelor’s degree and a Graduates school, some schools also require you to have five years experience. I already have experience talking to people in both Spanish and English (bilingual), I have oral expression to talk to people as well. I also have problem sensitivity which helps with children who are injured, in hard situations. Lastly I care about people and want to see them grow and prosper to their full potential. All of these jobs give examples of working in an office, hospital, or even a school with me helping people get better. All three careers also give great stability and versatility as well as a good future prospect. However, the career that gives me a strive to better myself by helping people is to be a physical therapist they not only help people, fix them, but also care for them. Three years ago my experience in fracturing my vertebrae has helped me realize what I want to be when I grow up.
